POGP SHORT COURSES Autumn 2020

This notice is to update everyone and make you aware of the work and discussions that have been going on over the last month around the recommencement of the POGP courses and study days in September.

The POGP course administrator Karen Armitage, throughout the pandemic has been in touch with the POGP tutors, the participants and the hosts managing the initial cancellations and rebooking of the short courses and has continued to remain in touch with all concerned.

There are still many variables to consider and nothing is absolutely certain, however, it does look as though some of the courses rescheduled for September will be going ahead. There will be modifications: a smaller number of participants and necessary adaptions made to fit the government directives on social distancing and PPE. We will continue to keep participants updated of any changes and any cancellations or rescheduling of courses.

Unfortunate and as disappointing as it might be if a course does not go ahead POGP has an obligation and responsibility towards the welfare and safeguarding of the participants, hosts and tutors. It is always paramount and at the forefront of any difficult decision that the POGP trustees have to make regarding a course.

We also ask that if you are due to come on a POGP course and develop symptoms suggestive of Covid or you have tested positive and are self-isolating that you do not attend the course. In such a situation, you will be entitled to apply for a refund or be booked on the next available date that the course runs

Thank you to everyone who continues to help us through the ever changing and unpredictable climate we find ourselves in. Particular thanks to the hosts who continue to remain optimistic that we will be able to hold the course at their venue and to Karen Armitage who goes above and beyond to help POGP course run as smoothly as possible.
